Ready for a lot of pictures?

So I just realized I never did post that I was pregnant and due with a beautiful baby boy in April. I was due April 9th. I was overdue with Addy, so I wasn't expecting to go early or even have the baby on my due date, but I was hopeful. So my due date came and went. And I was HUGE pregnant. HUGE pregnant since like December. The comments like "whoa you're huge" and "you look like you're gonna pop" and "are you having twins" got really, really old. So I'll post a picture of the hugeness that I was. I was very uncomfortable toward the end of the pregnancy - but who isn't toward the end? The baby wasn't descending into my pelvis at my 40 week check up and I was totally discouraged. The doctor kept threatening my with a C-section. He didn't think there was any way I would go into labor on my own and was destined to have a C-section. Bummed out times 10 at this point. But on April 13th, I went into labor on my own! I went to the hospital at one in the morning on the 14th and was already dialated to a 5! My doctor was in shock, and so was I. Then, 8 hours later and 20 minutes of pushing - NO c-section, my son was born. A whopping 10 pounds 2 ounces!!! No wonder I was freakin' huge. He is absolutely beautiful and perfect in every way. Adeline loves being a big sister and just loves Matthew. She wants to kiss him every 5 seconds. She is adjusting well so far for the most part. I am getting used to having 2 kids and Kevin and I are loving it. We are so blessed to have 2 healthy, beautiful children. Here are some pictures of the cuteness of my family. :)

Catching up on recent events...

So I have been so busy lately that I have forgotten to update the blog! Most of these pictures are from Christmas time or right around that time. Some big events happened around Christmas time! Kevin graduated from college with his Bachelor's degree in Finance!!! We are so proud of him! And another event I will be talking about in my next post...We had a lot of fun for Christmas - Adeline got really into opening presents, talking about Santa, and LOVED the Christmas tree. Then the last few pictures are of Adeline just being cute :)

Fall Moments...

So I thought I would also post some cute pictures of Addy and what she has been up to this fall. She had a hard time getting used to wearing a jacket again, but no matter what, she still loves to play outside. Here are some pictures of her being cute!

Celebration park with Daddy and Pops
Playing in the freshly cleaned hot tub
Playing after church
Throwing rocks in the river
And of course talkin on the phone :)

Pumpkin Patch Fun

So amongst other happenings this fall, we took Adeline to the pumpkin patch. She definitely took her time deciding which pumpkin should be hers. She found a few little pumpkins she liked, but she didn't like the stem. So she looked until she found the perfect small pumpkin with no stem. She carried it around all day. We also played in the corn maze, the bounce area, and she loved playing in the corn and burying some older little boy. Here are a few pictures of our girl with her pumpkin.

Gotta love your pumpkin
Mommy, can I eat this?
Happy Addy and her pumpkin!

Cutest Witch on the Block

Halloween this year was so much fun, not just for Addy, but for everyone. Adeline was a candy corn witch for Halloween this year. She loved her hat and her wand at first, but by the time trick or treating came along, she had had enough of both. We went to the trunk or treat at my mom's ward and Addy had a blast. She loved going from trunk to trunk. She got to the point where she would just hold out her hand so they'd give her the candy. She got an entire bucket full of candy which she was pretty excited about. The next night we went trick or treating. Addy would leave one house and yell "lets go get some more!" It was really fun to watch her get into it this year. And I think she looked just adorable in her outfit, so all in all, I'd say it was a success!

She loved her wand!

Fun in the Sun :)

So I've been told to post pics on here ASAP or a very pregnant woman will fly up here and sit on me :) So here you go :)
This summer we've been trying to make sure Addy gets outside a lot and gets to have some fun experiences. At the end of June, we went to the ghost town of Silver City Idaho for the day. We stopped and played in the water at the snake river because it was of course insanely hot that day. But we took our camera and Kevin grilled out a picnic for us. We had a lot of fun and Addy kept calling it "camping" even though we were just up there for the day.
The next couple pictures are just of Adeline being cute. She likes to put her step stool in her room by her night light and watch Barney for "5 minutes" before bed. She gets so engrossed in that show that we have to limit how much she watches :) Her favorite "shows" right now are Up, Barney, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and recently the old Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Who knows why. :) The next one is something Addy was very proud of. She spilled her cereal on her floor, so she went and got the dust pan and picked them up. She was angry I wouldn't let her eat off of it afterward. But she was just too cute.
And lastly, we took Addy to the Portland Zoo in August. She had a blast. We had to ride a bus from the car to the zoo and back, which she thought was just the coolest. She liked seeing all the animals, some she didn't want to get too close to and others she was right up to the fence. Her favorite was the "giraffe." We also went for a train ride in the zoo. Addy was a little timid at first, but by the end she was sticking her head out the window and smiling. Whenever the train honked its horn, she covered her ears and didn't like how loud it was. But overall we had a lot of fun at the zoo.

Hope you enjoy all the pictures! :)

Finally it is warm outside!

So after months of teasing us all spring, it has finally decided to start being warm outside! These first few pictures are from right after her birthday on her new swingset - hence the pants and jacket... But Adeline just loves to go outside and play on the swing and the slide. We have even started attempting to ride the "big girl swing." She could play outside all day long, especially now since it has been so hot!
She also got a pool for her birthday which we now use frequently. She sits in it for a minute, then goes down the slide, then fills up her teacups and waters all the surrounding plants.
Her favorite thing is to do right now is something "just for a second." Another phrase is "can I come with you?" She talks so well and understands so many things she just blows me away. She is so happy and such a sweet girl I can't wait for her to wake up in the morning so we can play.
We did take Adeline to my mom's subdivision pool and to a hotel pool for some big pool action. But she likes to just sit on the side and splash. It was a fun family outing and we plan to frequent mom's pool often :)
The next thing is the brithday present Addy got from Aunt Jill. Aunt Jill always gets Addy the coolest things. She got Addy a pair of pink scrubs that say Dr. Addy on them. As soon as I pulled them out of the package she had to put them on. She proceeded to stay in them the rest of the day. She looks so cute in her little scrubs. I'm a proud mommy!
This past weekend, Adeline and I went to the splash park with friends of ours and had a blast! It was our first time going there and it was so hot outside. The girls went back and forth from the playground to the water over and over. Needless to say, she took a great nap afterward!
